Project Brief
With the launch of their new outdoor pool area, Ralph’s Beach, The Grove Hotel sought to elevate the guest experience by introducing high-end, shaded relaxation zones. As part of this transformation, they commissioned the trade supply of 18 custom retractable pergola awnings to be integrated with luxury wooden-framed day beds surrounding the pool area.
Our Solution
We worked closely with The Grove’s design and project management teams to supply 18 bespoke retractable pergola awnings, each with two marine grade stainless steel wires tailored to complement the aesthetics and craftsmanship of the new day beds. The awnings were designed to:
- Provide adjustable shade and comfort throughout the day
- Withstand outdoor exposure with high durability and weather resistance
- Enhance the premium, spa-like atmosphere of the beach resort area
- Seamlessly integrate with timber frames for a cohesive and stylish finish

- Wires: 1×19 5mm wires, complete with swaged stud terminals. Client routered into the frame for a discrete finish, disguising the nuts and washers.
Outcome
The result is a beautifully shaded, resort-style poolside retreat that blends luxury and functionality. The retractable pergola awnings have significantly enhanced the comfort and usability of the outdoor space, creating an inviting haven for spa guests to relax in style.
